Passacaglia for Piano (Intermediate)

Handel - Halvorsen

Level: Intermediate

The passacaglia is a musical form that originated in the 17th century, probably in Spain or Italy. In recent years, it has also become very popular on social media. The piece is quite easy to play thanks to its repetitive structures. Try this version I composed myself! Too difficult? Then try the beginners' version.

Tips for Playing

✔ Practice step by step: Repeat the Slow section as many times as needed until you feel comfortable, then move on to the next chapter.

✔ Hands separately first: Start by practicing the right hand (melody), then the left hand, and finally both together.

✔ Play with a partner: One person can play the melody while the other plays the accompaniment—great for learning together!

✔ Practice daily: Even just 15 minutes a day will help you improve steadily.

✔ Take your time: enjoy the process, and have fun playing!
